ANNUAL REPORT
Annual Report Summary 2006
Dear Valued Customers, Partners and Distinguished Colleagues,
The year 2006 was marked by heightened and tougher competition, the rapid growth of the Eastern markets and the rise in crude oil prices. For Infotehna, this was a year of small yet significant changes, which shall have a strong and positive impact on the efficiency of our business operations in the future. The greatest progress this year was made in the area of further improving our relations with our customers, with the establishment of an entire new department for Business Services. In addition to technical support, it also encompasses a division for the implementation of general solutions, as well as an additional division which concerns itself solely with our customers from the pharmaceutical industry - in this way significantly increasing the level of customer care we can provide for our users. With the growing competition and increased level of regulation, buyers are becoming increasingly discriminating and demanding, which is why we wish to lend our ear to their wishes even more than in the past. With better communications and closer ties between Infotehna and our valued customers, we are one step closer now to being completely service-oriented.
Sales in 2006 year were up a good fifth in 2006 compared to the previous year. We gained four new customers from the pharmaceutical industry, with whom we established long-term business ties, while expanding the scope and raising the quality level of our business with our existing users.
A considerable number of important projects were successfully brought to a conclusion, such as for example those in the Pliva company in Croatia and in Ratiopharm - Germany's largest generic manufacturer; while our largest project to-date is nearing completion in the domestic company of Lek. In Krka, we linked the document management system with the new and only recently introduced SAP transaction system, while in Hemofarm in Vršac we completed the implementation of the GLORYA project.
A lot of time was devoted to operations management and optimizing the business processes. Ensuring faultless coordination of the work of all the company members is rendered somewhat difficult due to the geographic dispersal of our offices, however each of us makes great efforts to fulfill their duty diligently and to the best of our capacity and in doing so, to cooperate efficiently with all other staff members.
We expect that the year 2008 shall be a turning-point for Infotehna. True, we have set high standards for our company, but I firmly believe that our dedicated and professionally well-qualified team can sail smoothly through even the worst of storms.
