ANNUAL REPORT
Dear customers, partners and colleagues,
Behind us is a stirring year. In Slovenia it was marked with adopting the euro and with a record economic growth and on the world market with the high oil prices.
At Infotehna we will remember it above all for important changes in personnel. These were made because of internal disagreements that led to insufficient selling and marketing efforts and a decrease in the sales turnover. Our sales cycle is long: On average it lasts from 12 to 24 months, as a result of which we felt the consequences in the year 2007: We gained only two new pharmaceutical buyers, and we were also not present enough in the markets outside pharmacy. But we greatly expanded operations with existing buyers, which additionally shows that the reason for the crises lies with the sales team or in insufficient sales efforts.
We faced these circumstances and comprehensively changed our operating, new colleagues tackled marketing and other development tasks with great élan and the results are already starting to show. We adopted new working procedures and continued our practice to increase customer satisfaction. New mechanisms in staffing were set up; we also made sure that we always simultaneously evaluate relations and connections between co-workers that are included in the working process.
This year, we at Infotehna again proved that we have a lot of specific knowledge and are innovative. We are socially responsible and we know how to listen to the needs of employees and of the environment. We even officially became a family friendly company.
In spite of the goals that we could not achieve in 2007, I firmly believe that we are on the right path – strengthening the company towards high quality solutions and even better user support. We want to grow slowly, but constantly and stably. At the latest at the end of the first quarter of the next year, we are planning to restore our operating.
2008 will be an important year for Infotehna, as we will celebrate our 20th anniversary. Circumstances in which we were last year did not weaken us but filled us with new life energy. Thus we set daring goals: With well considered, persistent and systematic marketing we will considerably increase sales revenues and gain 8 to 10 new buyers, maintaining close contact with existing users and successfully develop their systems and solutions. I am sure that the Infotehna team of well prepared, ambitious and determined colleagues will make it.
