ISAC (INFOTEHNA SAP CONNECTOR)

Business and Technical Problem:

Enterprise Resource Planning systems (SAP) and EDMS systems ( EMC Documentum) are commonly used by organisations in parallel. Both systems usually share the same information (data). Organisations should integrate these systems to achieve efficient and effective operations and to have adequate and centralised control over all relevant data (assuring data integrity and consistency without redundancy).  The integration process and maintenance of prepared solutions can be hard and error prone work.

Solution

Infotehna developed the standard solution called ISAC to accelerate and automate integration between SAP systems and EMC Documentum EDMS systems.

ISAC provides its own configurable (parameterised) interfaces for communication from EMC Documentum EDMS to SAP and vice versa. These ISAC interfaces use the standard interfaces provided and supported by SAP and EMC Documentum to assure compatibility with the required support for future versions of SAP and EMC Documentum solutions. ISAC is also integrated with Infotehna myProcess, which is used for the efficient configuration of business solutions on EMC Documentum platforms.

Configuration of the organisation's interfaces is done through a single administrative module and all actions are detailed logged.
